This Post Is Presented By A Company That Has Nothing To Do With Blogging

Why is it that companies that have nothing to do with the sports themselves are always presenting the sports game I watch?

What does a fast food place have anything to do with catching a touchdown?

Whenever I see one of those companies I can’t help but say, “Oh look my insurance company is presenting the fact of the night. This should be good. They screw me with my car payments I’m sure they will help me with tonight’s highlights.”

Will one of these sports analysts actually acknowledge the awkwardness they feel when they read “And we are at a halftime presented by (fill in the blank with a company)”

It’s just weird.

They should say,”These are the people paying us so we have to mention them somehow but since we know you are here for the game we’ll just have them present something. Which is really just a way of advertising.”

I mean that would be pretty awesome if they said that.

But I’m not getting my hopes up.

I'm sure the sponsor had a lot to do with this guy scoring the game winning touchdown. I'm obviously kidding. His team lost.

  1. I know what you’re saying. When I’m watching a show and see the commercials that play during the program, I sometimes ask myself “Do they really think that the people watching this show are in the market for that?” I mean, was a show runs several tampon commercials, I get the sense that I’m really not the target audience and probably need to change the channel…
