Is That A Police Parade?

I was watching the president’s car drive up to give his inaguration and I couldn’t help notice the lack of citizens there.

Since all the vehicles look the same I had to be told the president is in the Batmobile.

They are all those black vehicles that you never want to see outside your door.

It was a nice view.

If you like to watch a bunch of men in suits walk down a road with cars.

A road that is of course filled with more security.

My god. Are we that paranoid the president will be shot?

A little bit of security is okay. A lot is just weird.

Does the government think that little of the people?

I get it. I shouldn’t try to kill the president.

You know what told me that?

The line of men holding AK-47′s.

I know some of you would say that we must protect the president from terrorists.

Those nutty bastards.

But If we fear for the president’s life than let’s not try to make a show of it.

No parade then.

That’s what I say.

We can’t celebrate if we are afraid something bad will happen.

But if we really want to send a message to the world that we are not afraid of anyone we should have the president drive with his family in his Cadillac down the street blasting some AC/DC.

That would show everyone we are not afraid.

But we are doing the opposite.

Because when you add security you are kind of telling everyone you are afraid.

If the president fears for his life so much he should drive around in the Batmobile. That would solve that problem.

If the president fears for his life so much he should drive around in the Batmobile.

  1. We were watching it here on the BBC news and were amazed by the thickness of the doors on his car – ’bout a foot thick. I think the security blokey struggled to open it!

  2. Can’t go along on this on (love your blog though). This president definitely must fear for his life…I fear for it myself. Mustn’t forget the tragedy in Dallas. At least he is not in the Pope mobile…as yet.
